Corporate Performance Management

Assessment

Organizations can achieve enormous performance gains through the strategies, processes, and tools offered by Corporate Performance Management (CPM). However, in order to make this leap, organizations must first assess and evaluate their current processes in terms of their performance management goals. This initial assessment identifies any misalignment that can be improved through the use of CPM.

MLC begins its proprietary CPM assessment process by reviewing the organization’s goals and objectives in relation to each department’s tactical goals through three lenses: People, Process, and Technology. These three dimensional views allow MLC to gauge where areas of improvement may exist. For example, an organization experiencing a problem with its forecasting process may find that the root cause is attributable to inexperienced resources (people), granular level forecasting strategies (process), the use of tools such as Excel and Access (technology), or all three.

Through our unique five step assessment, we strive to assist organizations in creating comprehensive and successful CPM strategies.

DEFINE: Identify process scope and measurements by reviewing the organization’s corporate objectives and strategies
DISCOVERY: Determine current business process and management reporting requirements
ANALYZE: Perform a gap analysis and determine the basis for the gaps
IMPROVE: Develop recommendations for redesigning the process, managing the change, standardizing the redeveloped process, and improving benchmarking
CONTROL: Monitor processes through performance management tools
